Dr. Vera Rduch

I am Dr. Vera Rduch, zoologist, enthusiastic researcher (and photographer) of big and small wildlife. My passion and research focus - so far - is on mammals and especially on antelopes, on wild and zoo animals. My interests go form small-scale to large-scale: from grasses and other food plants, via herbivores and carnivores to ecosystems, from population assessments via behavioural patterns and dietary analyses to ecological niches, niche partitioning, conservation & taxonomy.

I am proud to work at the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change - Museum Koenig Bonn. Meanwhile I was a team member of the German Barcode of Life Project (GBOL) acting as its central coordination.

Ich bin Dr. Vera Rduch, Zoologin, begeisterte Forscherin (und Fotografin) von großen und kleinen Wildtieren. Meine Leidenschaft und mein bisheriger Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf Säugetieren, insbesondere auf Antilopen, auf Wild- und Zootieren. Meine Interessen reichen vom Kleinen bis zum Großen: von Gräsern und anderen Nahrungspflanzen über Pflanzenfresser und Fleischfresser bis hin zu Ökosystemen, von Bestandsaufnahmen über Verhaltensmuster und Nahrungsanalysen bis hin zu ökologischen Nischen, Nischenaufteilung, Naturschutz und Taxonomie.

Ich bin stolz darauf am Leibniz-Institut zur Analyse des Biodiversitätswandels - Museum Koenig Bonn. Zwischenzeitlich war ich im Team des German Barcode of Life Project (GBOL), dessen zentrale Koordination ich übernommen habe.
